A lot of things has been happening in this world but the life of one young man has been nothing more than the regular routine except this morning it was raining, and he woke up at 8am. I reached at 10am! hahahahaha

Even better still, we went for lunch (the finance department and business development department) at The Square restaurant, Novotel Hotel. =] My supervisor was amused looking at me gawking over the place that he had to ask me to stop getting amazed with the place. hahaha. Anyway, since it's not halal I ended up eating sushi and tackled the chocolate fountain. Somehow sushi made me full a tad bit too fast to there wasn't much to lose anyway.

Had a meeting with the tecnical staff from UK I think (judging from how he talks) via Microsoft Live Meeting. It was uber awesome man, sharing files and information across the globe via the net and a telephone. Since my supervisor is going to be away for 2 weeks, I'll be doing those kinda stuffs with him later. Can't wait! =] =D

Tomorrow's the company's christmas party! yeay! no work! (well an hour or two is hardly any work) and I'll be going back to KL!

Another great day in fact!

Woke up late and went to work later than usual but who cares! As long as you achieve your goal for the day. =] Did work and played half the time but progress is still evident mind you and by the end of the day is the usual progress meeting.

I was praised for my performance from the beginning of the week to date and my supervisor also mentioned that he's hoping that I could progress if I keep up the pace. There is a lot of motivation from this company, the people and even te environment in itself. He promised me something if I were to continuously impress him and the rest and I do hope I'll get the reward.

Dropped by Woodlands library to return a magazine Ezi borrowed for me and there someone was trying to ask me to donate 1 dollar each day using VISA or Mastercard... (-.-"') and since I was feeling particularly happy, I treated myself to BurgerKing. lol.

Watched Eagle Eye finally and it's kinda scary. What if right now, you're being monitored??? crappp

Today was a good day, in fact it has been a great day! =]

I came into the office, and was working my presentation slides for the upcoming meeting with the technical staffs. And after lunch I was given the task of completing company portfolios for 2 companies which came as a surprise. The challenge of course was to complete it by 6pm. Which I did and was praised for the quality of my presentation. =] =]

After work, I met up with Wen at the MRT and we headed off to meet Far at bugis and had an awesome dinner at Kampong Glam Cafe. Rose came sightly later and thanks Wen for the dinner treat. =] The meet up was great, we caught up exchanging stories and inside scoops of each others life. Feels like good old times, no worries, no agendas, only fun and entertainment. =] =] =] Hands down to Far and Rose for old jokes. Twins for life man the two of them. ahahahhaha

One things for sure, I'm slowly learning to live alone in a much less pathetic way (lol) and loving my current job. Thanks to Abang Zaki (met him 2 days earlier), Far, Wen and Rose for the free consultations. Ahahhaha.

One more day down, looking forward to tomorrow.

Today has been a rather relaxing day for me, woke up as late as 8am, took my time to go and get my Temporary Employment Pass (TEP) only to reach the office at 11am. Little did I know that there will be a training session today so I don't have a laptop to use and thus no work for me except for some slight reading. In fact I was let off by 5 pm. Pretty neat ehh. =]

My TEP card =] and that's proof enough that I'm officially 2/5 Singaporean... -.-

I met Wen for lunch since she had no one to go for lunch with and we exchanged stories about work and daily activities and have finally gotten word from Far and Rose to meet up tomorrow after work. My worries has always been about not being able to occupy myself enough at night so I won't miss someone so much and home. This would be a great distraction.

Btw, something funny happened yesterday. I went to buy a pair of pants, paid for it and walked off without taking it from the cashier. They had to shout so that I would hear and turn around and they were giggling while passing me the item I've just bought. I must have been so distracted to have not notice it soon. lol.

On a side note, I went to watch New Moon with my cousins at City Square yesterday as well. I kinda like the whole CGI thing, who cares about the plot right? hahahha

9 (II)

As I linger in this foreign land for much longer, I've realised that I have been one ungrateful person.

In Malaysia, I have the luxury of 2 things that I took for granted. My family and practicing Islam.

My family has always been my best supporters especially my mom and dad in ways I cannot describe. Now having only the cellphone and internet as my only source of instant communication, I miss my fellow siblings and my parents. =[

Mosques are everywhere in Malaysia, prayer rooms in each building built in Malaysia land is a law as the religion 'Islam' is countrys' formal religion. We have the luxury to delay our prayers because the places to pray are everywhere. We take it so lightly that we forget if we had prayed sometimes. I haven't but it was a possibility back there.

I'm glad I found it now rather than finding it when it's too late. This kind of feeling is humbling but it's a refreshing thought. =]

9

The number signifies the amount of days where I will be stoned for most of the time during the day before it reaches 0. Ezi's gone for a family holiday to tame the sphinx (via snapping pictures maybe...lol) and calling or texting will be futile. How unfortunate. =[ so I'm posting up 1 post each day from today for 9 days to talk about my day so she wouldn't miss out when she comes back and of course by chance if she ever logs into my blog during her stay (doubt it) she'll be able to get updated.
Of course I've never been the emo person much, sensitive yes but insensitive towards speech ettiquetes is a yes too. However, this petite girl of mine here had made me so. Amazingly I think she took up my traits and so you don't see much of me or my name appearing in her blog posts. Funny.

Going passive and insensitive will make her upset so I'll maintain. =]

Anyway, as I was saying the post won't be about her but about me and I remember that I've promised to post on my first night with a fellow friend and that friend is Shahabuddin.

We met up at a nearby McD's (where he and ezi claims that it was their meeting spot) to catch up. I was very grateful that he could spare some time for me eventhough he was having a flu/fever that night. We spoke of my family and me and we moved on to a very interesting topic of 'jodoh' (trans: match).

I must admit that although ezi is my first girlfriend, she has been a favourite in all of my present and future decisions in life. And speaking of future, the dude was hinting at me about future responsibilities and planning should start from now. Funny how this past few weeks (last week and this week) I keep bumping into strangers, friends and relatives who seemed to have an affinity to talk about marriages and soulmates with me. I don't know how's it related to me right now but I'm just amazed how it can comeabout from so many different people (especially strangers who boarded the same bus from Singapore to Johor with me and ended up talking to me about this) all within the same length of time.

Anyway, jodoh (I shall refer as partner from now on) is a word strongly related to works of fate. In Islam, partners are predestined before birth although not everyone will be "reunited". Hence, the question comes to light of whether should we just wait for the right one? but then how would we know if we never tried? Confusing isn't it?

From my understanding, what we can do is to socialise while maintaining our self integrity. To get to know one another without splurging to much information as if they are our family members nor fabricating information to fit into the others' world. So it's between friends and dating really until you are very sure that the other feels the same way and you work your way into the future.

Most people wants a good man/woman to be their life partners and it's very hard to judge exactly who fits the bill with one another. But one thing's for sure is through the understanding on Surah An-Nur: verse 26 which talks of the personality of both partners will essential be the same. That is to say, a good man with a good woman and vice versa. I am not one to happily admit if I am good or bad but I am free to judge another. Ezi by my standards is a very nice, kind, warm-hearted and caring person and it has been my honour to have been able to walk by her side to this day. I am sure those of you who knows her would agree. It is up to me now to improve myself spiritually and mentally to ensure that I will still be by her side in the future, InsyaAllah. Ezi in all aspects will never change and if she does, it has always been for the betterment of her loved ones.

I pray that we all do with our respective or prospective partners, InsyaAllah.

1st week

It's the first week over! Finally...now is the time to rest and sleep. in JB =]

It's been a looong week and I'm surprised that my work for now is still quite fun ALTHOUGH... it's not as easy as I would expect an internship program would be. Nonetheless, less complains more work so I can graduate in time with my other friends. Here's some fun facts;

1. The company has a flexible timing policy, as long as you keep to 8 hours a day you may come at whatever time. Although I'm expected to be by 8.30, I always come at 9am. haahahha.

2. On fridays, we are allowed to wear long pants (jeans, slack, etc...) and any top as long as it's mild (no vulgar words, death, metal patterns, etc).

3. The company provides a range of drinks (coffee, tea, cappucino, milk, juice) and snacks (mentos and biscuits) and sometimes (like today) we get cakes! and it's a free for all. =] =] =]

4. The people there are very nice and VERY hardworking.

5. My supervisor hinted and a few more employees that I know hinted that getting a job wouldn't be hard. =]

6. I've gotten my work permit approved! That means I'm 1/5 portion of a Singaporean now. Haha. I'm gonna have to get it this coming Monday so till then, no pictures.

7. I've made a bank account under POSB and that just made me 2/5th a Singaporean.

and here's some not so fun fact about being here;
1. Most importantly, someone special to me is not here right now. Although the brief meet was a big pleasant moment still nothing is enough when it's about you. So I'll faithfully wait.
2. AM I AN INTERN?! As far as I know, interns don't get to handle company projects on their own albeit the fact that I have a supervisor to see-through the matter as we progress. What's with all the powerpoint presentations and teleconferencing and what not then? urghhhhh
3. I've never been in Singapore and do nothing except going to 2 places everyday, home (room more like) and workplace. And by the time I get back, my feet hurts so much that I became lazy to walk out.
4. I'm sleep deprived and friends deprived.
5. I'm photography deprived! Nooooooo... I wanna make use of this time to take pictures but I end work late. =[

I miss my family and my friends in Malaysia. So come visit me k?

I met up with Ezi's close friend Shah the other day, that's another post coming up. hahahahhaha. farnee man the fella. But hey if you're reading this, thanks for the meet up. It's good to have friends nearby. =]
